Air.
Air is something
we just cannot
see,
In our lives
it’s so precious
And yet it
comes free.
If not in
our lives we all
would be lost,
Of gold it’s
more precious
And yet has
no cost.
Our lips it
may touch but
never to kiss,
If we tried
too embrace
We would only
but miss.
A feeling of
warmth to make you
feel grand,
Could slip through
your fingers
And not hold
your hand.
Air can get
closer than the
dearest of friends,
But could never
come closer
Than those Angels
God sends.
If on life’s
road you should
happen to trip,
Those Angels are
there
Your hand for
to grip.
Many a time
your heart it
may break,
But the air
it could never
A broken heart
take.
Air may come
closer than man
would dare,
But none but
our Saviour
A heart could
repair.
