Remembering pain of love
somehow lost,
Choosing to live
For God has a cost.
The petals of the rose smother
the heart,
That beautiful odour
Soon to depart.
At one time a chain of daisies
did make,
An emblem of love
Some day it would break.
This love it never was
destined to win,
That chain sure to break
The heart deep within.
This heart stained with tears
felt ever so sick,
Not a dog to befriend
Those sores to lick.
That lonesome burden another
chain,
Each link a letter
Spelling out the word pain.
Our Lord and Master your pain
can destroy,
He`s the one with the power
To return to you joy.
The ultimate price was paid on
the tree,
Twas paid through God`s son
So you could be free
