KISS US ALL GOODBYE.

If life for us it were all gone,

We’d never more

Hear birds in song.

No morning sun would grace our skies,

Or sunsets

Kiss us all goodbye.

We’d never more see grains of sand,

Or tears which roll

Into our hands.

We’d see no eagle soar with grace,

Or rose’s fragrance

Dare embrace.

We’d see no joyful lambs in spring,

Just hearts that ache

So deep within.

We’d never see a snow white dove,

Or feel God’s hand

Reach down in love.

If God’s great love just didn’t last,

Our deepest longings

Would be vast.

If God’s dear son refused to come,

His greatest plans

Could not be done.
