HEART REJECTION.
Could all the pain of life we
shun,
And from our heartaches
Somehow run?
Hurtful feelings in our past,
Could we escape them
All at last?
Words of sweetness haven’t
helped,
To take away
The pain we’ve felt.
We’d thought to sleep and
never waken,
Would cause those feelings
To be taken.
Could someone somehow make
provision,
To make us feel
Life’s worth the living?
The hurt and pain of heart rejection,
Could it be traded
For affection?
Why do God we go to last,
When he has love
For us so vast?
Why do we choose to take such
pain,
When God’s great love
We all can claim?
